How come i cant put these tv shows onto my 120gb ipod?

hi im trying to figure out how to put tv shows onto my ipod. there is already a couple on my ipod but when i try to buy new tv shows they never go on! on the "summery" page i check all of my tv shows but it wont put on any of my new ones!. do u have to watch the whole thing through first on my computer? PLEASE HELP MEEEE!!!
